Lost between the SS VS SRT

So the price of the SS around here is becoming higher, while the SRT dealer is on end of the year sale so the prices are nearly even for the Challenger, Charger, and C300 SRTs with the SS.

Looking at that 6.4 engine and the pretty interior drives me mad .

It is a real teaser as the SS should be cheaper compared to the SRT range and makes me think carefully because Im planning to upgrade my V6 in the near future !!

Guys please help me. I need some therapy here

I had both and I preferred the SRT, but that's just me. I would suggest you drive all the models and then make your decision. There really is no right or wrong answer with this. Post up pics of whichever you decide on.

Just for clarification when you say SS do you mean the new 4 door sedan or the Camaro?

If it is the CHevy SS, go Mopar, if it is a Camaro SS with 1LE, tough choice!

Are you really making a big deal about the ebrake being in the floor instead of on the center console? Really? Lord bless your heart as electronic emergency brakes become the norm over the next few years......

Sorry guys for any confusion. I meant Camaro SS as the SS chevy will not be released in the Middle East anyway.

By the way we dont have 1LE as well. But come on !!

Can you see that big price gap between the SS camaro and the SRT. Give me a break, but this SRT dealer is murdering Chevy market and making it tough on me ....

I love the Camaro ... but the deal is just CRAZY

camaro is more economic and parts are cheaper and you can make it just as fast as the srt8 6.4 wit a few stuff and still save more gas...

i had this dillema too but the camaro won lol the challenger is really simple heavy and wastes alot of gas.. yea there fast out of the dealer but the ss can be as fast or faster wit less than half the extra your paying at the dealer for the srt8

He is in Saudi Arabia, I don't think fuel mileage is an issue (besides there is what, a whopping 1-2 MPG difference max?). location would also cut out the availability and pricing of parts to a point. Also, consiidering there is no 1LE, the SS isn't really going to provide any handling advantage over the SRTs Bilstien electronic dampers. Basically it is whatever floats his boat, buy whatever makes you happy period.

true on da gas in saudi lol... and on the sticker it says 1-2 but some camaros have got up to 24-6 mpg ive gotten up to 22 i doubt many srt8 would get that but i guess if gas is no issue its really what makes him happy... srt8 is a great car dont get me wrong

Muscat is in Oman, not Sudia Arabia. Still, fuel economy is probably not a big deciding factor for him.

No offence man but Muscat is actually the capital of Oman and the difference between it to Saudi Arabia is like day and night !

Now back to my mess. I feel like my soul is trapped in a woman and my heart is running after another.

SRT dealer here always get this end of year madness so Im sure that he will keep me something after I get down to the Chevy dealer nerves and squeeze his heart a bit.

Gretchen !!

You are good in Geography as much as you are good in blowing engines

NAAAAA gas is not a factor. Indeed, I work for an oil company myself

I pay 30 cents per litre.
