HUD

Got in my 2013 2LT today and the HUD display did not work. drove the car for about 10 minutest to warn up, nothing, shut it off started it again, nothing. Drove it home went in to read the manual, came back out 10 minutes later, started it up and it was back as if nothing happened. Anyone seen this before me?

I've never heard of that happening - it's definitely not normal. If it continues, definitely get back with the dealership.

Got warranty until the end of August 2016, but I've heard if you have problems with these they are a real bugger to replace. Have to pull out half the dash, and many of these hacks at stealerships create a lot of cosmetic damage pulling it apart and putting it back together.

Well that's the only way to remove the HUD. The dash and just about everything comes out. There's threads and pictures on this website that show what some of the guys did to install HUDs in their later model Camaros with no HUDs. Good Luck.

Hopefully if it goes, it goes while it's still under warranty!! I imagine it's a very spendy repair.

$1,700? Eeesh! That would be enough to tip the scales if I were on the fence about trading in at the time.
