Another Road Trip - #296 to South Carolina - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Ok, my friends in PWII said a trip thread would be of some value, so as we did on our trip to California in Number 3 at Christmas and when we took Thor to Florida over Easter, I'll post up our Camaro fun right here.

What I expect..........a super comfortable drive down. 24 plus MPG. Pure Camaro awesomeness.

What I'm curious about...........will #296 still have Rock Star status. When we took Numbe 3 to California, there were maybe 10 Camaros on the road. When we had Thor in Florida, they weren't quite at the dealers yet. Now, over 20,000 delivered. But judging by the guy at the gas station at lunch, I'm guessing the Red CTF Camaro will still pull a good crowd.

We will take tons of pictures and if I can figure a few technical things out on the laptop, will actually post them along the way. If not, you'll see even more photos of #296, the most photographed Camaro to date..............maybe. At least in the Captured Test Fleet.

So on the road in a few hours.

Don't be tellin' my secrets on how I can get from Metro Detroit to HHI in under 10 hours now.

What you neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed to do is take juuuust a weeeeee bit of a detour through lower Alabama.

You will love Hilton Head Island at this time of the year, but make sure and visit Savannah on the other side of the river this weekend and maybe get a bite at paula dean's restaurant .

PS...I wish you guy's a safe trip and could you drop off some frozen custard or concrete treat since you're coming our way. J/K

Savanah is always nice. Will take a trip up to Charleston to have a visit with Mr. Spike and maybe his new Mrs. Spike.

BeSt drive out of Michigan in many years. Lots of lookers. Saw 3 other Camaros so far none in Ohio. Looks like we are just ahead of some major rain as we head East toward Cleveland.

Mrs. Number 3 driving for a bit. Making great time. Over 24 mpg at first gas stop. Guy in a gen4 took a few pics while on 77 South. This is an awesome trip car.

Oh no doubt you will get looks in SC. I swear its like being superstars around here. I have had mine for quite a while but its still crazy all the attention this car is drawing. To date Ive only seen about 8 here in the upstate.If you come thru Greenville/Spartanburg maybe we will see ya. Have fun.
