Its getting replaced by Crystal Red Tintcoat. It seems to be a tad closer to medium red than RJT is, but its still a dark red tintcoat.

Does anyone now when the 2012 will begin to be delvered or at the dealer lots? Just an estimate? I ordered a 2011 2SS but I like the idea of a performance suspension over the sport suspension that comes with the 2011. Also, like the idea of the rear view camera system and 6 way power passenger seat.

The 2012 Camaro's begin production on 18 July, when the car is produced, it awaits transport via railcar. It could ship immediately or it could wait around for a couple of weeks. If you really want to hold off for the options then go talk to your dealer immediately. It's always best to talk to the dealer and if you are set on getting a 2012 instead, do not let your dealer tell you it's too late. My dealer tried to talk me out of the Boss 302 (I ultimately decided to take what I ordered). He told me it was too late in the process to change my order. Unless the car is already built, it is never too late. If the car is built, then you have to take delivery but talk to your dealer about getting the 2012 upgrades with warranty.

The car is already built and on its way here. When you say talk to the dealer about getting "2012 upgrades with warrenty" I am not sure what you mean by this? To be honest the really important one to me is the new suspension system. I can live without the rear view camera as the 2011 2SS has the park assist, I can live without the 6 way power passenger seat also. I am assuming that here will be a price increase for these options as well for the 2012 models.

I agree - nice for novelty, since I never use it anyway!

So no GM chicklet + door lock switch in the middle = 2011

The 2012 Camaro will begin production on July 18th. 6-8 weeks afterwards is when you're going to start seeing the new model year vehicles show up on dealership lots. Unfortunately right now I do not have a timeline on the final date to order a 2011 model nor a start date to order the 2012 model. As we get closer I should be getting more information and I will update the forum with this information.

Thank you for the response, I picked mine up last night. I am sticking with the 11 for now. The car is beautiful!

The plan is to keep this for 2-3 years and then order a Zl1. That's the plan but of course it could change. I can say that I am extremely happy with this one! Thanks for bringing back a real American Icon and doing it right!

Wow....The TR6060 was designed as a replacement for the T56 as I understand it, so would this be a step backwards? If the posted 385 lb-ft of torque for the T56 is true then GM is telling us that the 2012 Camaro SS will have 35 LESS lb-ft of Torque than the 10-11's and less than the Mustang GT.

WTF? Seriously, does this even make sense?
