Small tweeters in Component kit to fit in factory pods?

Just curious what people have used in a Component system with tweeters that fit into 2010-2012 Camaro factory tweeter pods in the doors. They rarely give the size specs to know the actual size until you open up the manual after you buy them. Anyone?

First link is for an old post on changing the door speakers, the second link is what I found what looks like what was used in the install (previous link). Happy hunting

I meant i was just curious from the people who have replaced them into the stock tweeter pod positions as to the different brands they personally used to see what Models were out there, i have already got a few sets of speakers and none of the tweeters come close to fitting so i will do a custom job making them fit into the a-pillars instead. But i still wasnt to know what may fit the original pods. Thanks btw for those links too.

I put some Infinity kappas tweeter in the original locations. They was larger then the stack tweeters. I used a dremil tool to cut some of the pods and part of the door pad. They work good.

I used JL C2's and they fit well. I put some double back tape around them and slide them back into the factory pod.

Anyone just upgrade the tweets, but leave the rest of the stock speakers? I think the highs on the car suck.

I used the Rockford Fosgate T1652-S components with 1" dome tweeters. The fit was slightly loose, so a couple dabs of hot glue were used to hold hem in place. They do sound better than the stock tweets.

I assume you can do this without door panel removal?

Have you replaced the factory amp yet? It really makes a difference

I'm looking at the JL c2 650 to replace doors....

The tweets can be done without removal...but Im wondering if its a worthwhile upgrade just doing the tweets.

That's exactly what I have, sounds great. Just watch with the adaptor, I figured you could use Atleast one of the factory holes to mount the ******** adapter but the door panel hit on the bottom. Had to drill 3 new hole. Just for your info.

I used Pioneer TS-T15 tweeters in the pods. It was too much hassle to remove the grilles, so I used a small hole saw and cut out the front of the pods instead. I secured them with some hot glue. By keeping the grilles on the tweeters, I was able to rotate them in more towards the listening position.
