POLL: How many days after TPW before delivery?

For you guys who have ordered your cars. Please vote in the poll above and tell us how many weeks after the first day of your Target Production Week did your car arrive at the dealer?

Please post and let us know where you're located so we know how far your car was shipped.

Since nobody chimed in.... my TPW was 7/25 and it arrived to Becky on 8/5 so it was 11 days.... I was still in Korea and didn't expect it to be done that quickly and had to wait til I got back to NY to complete the paperwork and have her ship it to me. But I could have had it within a day of it arriving to her on the 5th had I been there and in person. Big props to Becky for making everything go smooth and quick.

That's extremely impressive. I hope the first batch of 1LE's don't end up in a QC hold. If I get shipment as fast as you did I could have my car before the end of the month!

My TPW was 9/19 and is going to be delivered Wednesday or Thursday. 17 or 18 days.

I wouldn't expect the 1LE's to arrive at dealers until mid to late December at the earliest.....

Lots of GM holidays in November and December.....

IMHO first of the year......

I can't see a car with a TPW in two weeks not getting to the dealer until Jan 1st...

That is like 10 weeks after it's built...

The 1LE and the ZL1 will be under a large amount of scrutiny from QC. The build verification process usually consists of 4-6 weeks of model production before intial release. This is in case an issue is found, all the cars are still on site. This is not a complete "model change" but with many different components than the current model Camaro's, I suspect my guess will not be far off. Again, there are a large number of holidays between November 1 and January 1. Almost a loss of 2 weeks of production. Once production has ramped up on the 1LE and ZL1, I would expect a 6-8 week delivery window from being produced to arriving at the dealer, but at initial launch, it is not likely. I have participated in several new model launches, seldom has it been otherwise.

The ZL1 A10 and convertible launch will fall under the same scrutiny. I don't expect those to hit dealers until early spring.

For instance, the initial convertible launch was mid February of 2016. The convertibles were not released until late March. The earliest I seen deliveries was the very end of March to Early April.

I hope I am wrong....

We will see....

Mine was a TPW of 6/6, but it wasn't built until 6/15. It then arrived on 6/22 and I picked it up on 6/23 so 7 days.

I'm located near Pittsburgh. The day mine came in they also had a 2016 LT come in. I can't help but wonder if I lucked out that that one was already shipping so they put mine with it. I'll likely never know.

EDIT: whoops I put 8-14 days
