Catless down pipe quick question!

If I install a catless down pipe on my 2017 Camaro I understand it will throw a check engin light. Now the question is would the catless require a tune or can you simply slap it on and expect the light to be there until you get a tune?

slap it on till you get a tune. or you can get a o2 sensor extender .. its a tight fit but a friend of mine managed to have done he had to customize it a little.
PM 6th_gen_gino or wait till he comments on this thread as he is on here pretty often.
As for me ..I ll just deal with it till my tune.

Don't go crazy without the tune you can over spool your turbo and cause damage if the catless isn't tuned.

eBay. Amazon. Anywhere.

Also to add to what's been said, if you have an automatic car, the remote start will not work if the check engine light is on.

SO i have a 2.0t audi running 22 lbs of boost. As I understand correctly you fellows don't need any back pressure and are more concerned with dumping exhaust as quickly as possible? Or is there a sweetspot that will get your turbos to spool faster? Thanks for the insight ahead of time.

I was looking into getting a catless downpipe, too until people kept telling me not to without a tune or it could blow the engine. Is it really that serious or should I be fine without the tune? And while I'm at it, what tune do you guys recommend?
