Overkill Tune - Potential Issue?

Hello.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this issue with their Overkill tune and thoughts about what to do about it...

Recently, I have noticed that under certain load situations (particularly when going up a hill), that my throttle will stutter/stumble/reduce power for a few seconds. Its not every time and I chose to ignore it the first few times but it has definitely happened a bunch of times since Ive been tuned.

No new mods and only running 93 from Top Tier manufacturers.

Not sure what to make of it. I'm going to find it extremely challenging to capture this on my tuner and send the data to Will...

I have sent him an email describing the issue. Waiting for a response...

I have not experienced this, and my engine mods are similar to yours. Is your air filter clean?

Probably about 17k on my CAI and I haven't touched it yet...

Any recommendations?

No, not really. There are too many possibilities. I do think you will need to log it in order for Will to see what the issue is. I would just run scans everytime you drive those areas until you capture it with the AutoCal. Just keep the unit close by and note the time elapsed on the scan when the issue occurs. That will tell Will the exact moment to look at, so even if the file is big, at least he can find that precise moment. You can play back your scans in EFI Live as well by the way.

I guess that's what Ill have to do... wont be easy. Don't drive the car everyday and it happens intermittently...

Side note. Kinda related. Just got back from a little Sunday afternoon road trip. Drove 270 miles total from downtown Lynchburg to downtown Greensboro for lunch and back to Blacksburg. All highway most part with many hills, turns any varying speed limits. Used cruise as much as possible.

Averaged 66.7 mph and 25.4 mpg.

Had tuner plugged in the entire time. Nothing.

Wondering. For those with similar mods... is this about what you would expect mpg wise?

Check your plugs....not sure how many miles you have. Might be worth at least looking at them.

Just under 22k

Is it possible that a plug went bad this soon?

Yes that's about right. From the factory GM overtimed and underfueled these LFX engines. Will has to give the car more fuel because they were knock crazy from the factory.

I think they tried too hard to hit HP and MPG numbers.

Good to know. Thanks.

Will responded. Wants me to send him some data for review and revision.

Yup. Any time you have issues take reads and send them over. That's the nice thing about his setup.

Always good to be doing reads from time to time anyway as it's never a once and done process. We have been working on my tune for just over a year tweaking things here and there.

My car does this when giving it throttle going uphill at too low of an RPM. Its not tuned.

I average 27mpg. 65mph, two hours a day.
