anybody been looking at the railcar tracking thread? Didn't see any of these VINs on the other vin tracker. Maybe these belong to some of us?

Hmmmm......
Would be nice to think that the system's getting caught up. Or rather further along than the pre information blackout would've otherwise led us to believe. |

OK, I'm a new member on here, but a long time reader. Since I ordered my 2SS/RS/BLK/CBG stripes/6spd manual, back in March from Bayside, I got a printout of the event history on 5/01 that showed event 3000 on 04/21. Is there any other way to know what event code you are up to other than going through the dealer? Also, since I am military I will not be registering my Camaro in MD, I am not required to put a front plate on her, is it as easy to just tell the dealership not to drill the front bumper?
BTW, I am in Chesapeake Beach and drive up Rt 4 to work at Bolling, I see a bunch of folks on here from the area! Look forward to seeing you all on the road, can't wait to get my '67 RS back from Florida, she is at Prodigy getting a bunch of work done, my '67 and my 2010 are the exact opposite paint schemes, will be a cool garage when they are side by side! |

to answer some of your questions... ...just tell your dealer not to install the front plate. The dealer is probably the best place to find your status out. I think all the other ways have now been shut down.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, looking forward to seeing how everyone is making their Camaro's unique, I have a few ideas on my own that will hopefully turn out the way I envision them now.
As for Bolling I am working at DIA, it's interesting and will keep me here for awhile, hopefully to an eventual retirement as I would like to keep the family here, we like MD and my wife has a great job here in Calvert that she likes, so we are ready to settle down and grow some roots finally. During my Navy flying time I flew both the SH-60B and EP-3E and a whole bunch of aircraft in between (training platforms like the T-34C, TH-57A/B/C, P-3C, etc...) All lots of fun. My '67 has been almost a decade in the making. LOTS of mods, really the only thing original any more is the sheetmetal. But she is BEAUTIFUL, the only thing more beautiful to me than my '67 is my wife! My '67 was built to be both a head turner and a performer, so there is a good dose of horsepower under the hood, with the suspension and brake and subframe mods to make it work. I think the 2010 will be pretty nice right uot of the box, but we can always try to improve her. Hope to hear more from all of you as we get closer, I have absolutely NO idea when my 5th gen will be built, since I only ordered her about 2 months ago, but I'll wait as patiently as the rest of you... someday, right? -George |

Matt,
I will make it a point to stop out there and say hi with both of the Camaros after my 2010 gets delivered. If my '67 (which I named Project Flyin' Blind - I had an eye injury that took me out of the cockpit, thus my change of occupation in the Navy)... I believe I am still in waiverable limits for civilian flying though, so I might get checked out there to get up flying again!:thumbup -George |
