Removing stock air box tube

I'm trying to remove the stock air box tube, and there's that little plastic breather tube that comes off the left side of the tube and connects to the passenger side valve cover...does that thing just pull off of the valve cover, or is there a trick to it? I don't want to break anything I'm not supposed to...

There is a clip under there that holds it on. It will come off if you pull it hard enough though.

Yeah, I could never get the clip to release, I ended up just yanking it off! The hardest part for me was removing the stock air box from its 2 mounting brackets with those darn rubber washer/nut clips. those things would not budge!
