Ferrari F430 or Nissan GT-R? Driving one at a track early next year

Hey all,

I have the opportunity to drive either a Ferrari F430 or a Nissan GT-R at a track early next year.

Please help me decide on which I should drive.

Your reason behind your vote is appreciated.

(Either vote, post, or do both!)

430 Challenge is the best car I have driven. A GTR drives itself, so I'd go with the Ferrari.

Ferrari, my opinion isn't performance based because frankly I don't know where the two stack up to each other, but I don't see getting a hold of a Nissan being all that hard on another occasion, but It's not every day someone throws you the keys to a Ferrari.

GT-R is something I could see myself owning, so that's what I'd drive. Not a fan of a Ferrari honestly.

They are two very different cars. The GTR is very easy to drive and drive fast because of all the technology. It will make you think you are a better driver than you really are. The Ferrari has a lot of technology as well but it is like it is straight from a race car. It is more raw, more connected. That is what I love.

The Ferrari is by far the most exciting car to drive out of the two, but for a blistering track time, you have to take the GTR and have your mind mashed. Hard choice between the two!

While the "GT-R drives itself" crowd typically has not driven a GT-R, I would say go with the F430. The visceral feeling that car will provide to you, not only with the engine sounds it makes, or with how well the steering communicates, but with how much the eDiff will let you feel like a pro racing driver is quite astonishing. You will be able to do things with that car that are beyond your limits as a driver. It's a very rewarding experience.

Unless you are very experienced, you will proabaly go faster in the GT-R. So, what do you want...driving experience (F430) or speed on your very first lap (GT-R). Me, I'd go F430 just so I could say I did it.

F430. Even if it's quantitatively slower than the GT-R, the F430 will be a better, more enjoyable, more memorable experience.
