ARH Headers
Does anyone know for sure what size the header bolts are on the LS3 to attach the ARH's to the LS3? Looking at Stage 8 Fasteners, they have a very cool locking header bolt system. Once there locked they will not back-off.

There is nothing wrong using factory gaskets and header bolts. They clamp perfect. Problem is if the header flange is warped and no matter how you clamp you will still have leakage in that area. Save your money. Get your headers coated for protection and heat control with the money you saved.

The cost of those header bolts is not too bad so go for it. More to coat headers. I don't like the way stainless headers discolor over time. They start off looking OK but gradually change. Plus the coated contain heat better inside the tubes. Plus adding a little BLING to engine compartment. Here is a pic from underneath.

You miss understood ...They did not fit right on some of the "hard" bents IE...the front tubes. For me they are a total waste of time and money!!! Its your $$$$$ do want you want ...but they will not just fall on the bolts. They WILL have to be modified to fit!!

I have ALWAYS had an issue with header bolts backing out. On the camaro though not the case? Kooks headers, factory bolts and gaskets. I assume the arh uses equaly as nice of flange as kooks since they are a high end header, kooks is very thick and finished well. I'd say they arnt needed for your car but added insurance is never bad.

I'm not a big fan of the Stage 8 fasteners. I went with Percy's split lock bolts, part# 21008. The size you are looking for is M8 1.25 x 25mm.
