Ok - for the Bikinis "Show 'N Shine", we will just be showing up in reserved parking, displaying our cars, having some dinner/drinks, and hanging out for the awards ceremony.

As far as what class to run in - unless he's done any motorsports driving (aside from dragracing) in the past, he should be in novice.

For the car show, yes the undercarriage will be checked - bearing in mind that since some cars are being driven at length to get to the event. The rules should show that the door must either be open, or window down, and the trunk and hood should be open as well. Any area that is closed/unable to be viewed cannot be judged.

Hope that helps!

Curious as to whether or not there is a place close by to detail aside from the parking lot of the hotel. It could make things difficult if there is only one car wash nearby and a multitude of cars trying to clean up from the long drive in.

Especially important if the weather doesnt cooperate.

Anyone in the area have suggestions?

How do you think I posted that map. I have the address...

Just thought there might be a better way than just staying on I-10 though downtown SA. I have a 12 no gps... and I don't stop for directions either.

Mike,

honestly, if it were me, I would stay on 10 right through downtown.... In my experience, the worst traffic is on the various loops... JMHO

definitely stay on 10. 1604 and 410 might be the worst when it comes to traffic. 10 never really gets that bad.
