Will a lpe harmonic balancer and 5 percent overdrive make the flutter disappear ??
Will a roto fab cai make the flutter more audible ??

CAI won't have any impact one way or the other.

I suspect the overdrive will reduce or eliminate the noise, but I'm not certain. It should move the 'resonant frequency' range downward, probably to a point below idle. But you won't know until you try it.

I started to hear the isolator rattle about 500 miles after I had a new SC replaced. Really sucks that it's not fixed!

NEW DEALER WRINKLE

Document ID#3980640
#PIP5192B
Camaro VIN Service Manual (whatever that all means)

Condition/Concern
Drivers may notice a flutter or buzz that occurs at 800-900 (low RPM) with the vehicle in second or third gear. (high load)

Customers may mistake this for a clutch chatter or heat shield buzz.

Recommendation/Instructions
The supercharger now has a solid coupling for improved reliability.

Pulses from the accessory drive at low RPM high load may cause a slight rattle in the supercharger gear train.

This is a normal condition

Repair or replacement should not be attempted.

********************
This was the word for word document given to me at my dealership (Arizona) TODAY.

There is also a side note which says " 2009-2013 Chevrolet Camaro, Cadillac CTS-V (that have had a service replacement supercharger installed after November 2013) Engine 6.2L LSA with manual or automatic transmission"

__________________________________________________ ________

So ..... Assuming if I read this correctly it sounds as if they (Chevrolet) put Solid couplings in all replaced AND built units AFTER November 2013?
BUT are not willing to replace mine at least not yet ... see bottom of doc.[ATTACH]Name: CAM00433.jpg

... and .....

So returned to dealer with TSB and bulletin I finally posted correctly
Grabbed a different service guy showed both bulletins explained that I had NOT replaced my SC and had "the noise".
Took me back to see the tech who confirmed "noise" was present, ordered replacement on the spot. BAM!

So ... my 2013 Auto/Roto-fab (not even mentioned btw) will be rolling new SC (solid coupler) Soooon. I'll post if and when my "noise" returns.

I am under warranty as well and for what it is worth I will swap pulley at first sight of "noise" returning and get prepared to fight with dealer about warranty "voiding" if and when that time comes.

SOLID posts ballsey good info. keep us posted

any updates on flutter/rattle with manual trans. concerning the replacement supercharger ??
I did notice a reduction of the rattle once engine is hot.
Has anyone noticed changes in the rattle with various modifications??
eg. pulleys, air intakes, headers, exhaust, tuning etc...

The only physical thing that would change it would be a different pulley size; if you overdrive it, compared to stock, you will shift the resonant point lower (probably into the idle speed range). Underdriving it would probably make it worse, but I can't imagine why anyone would do that.

I have hypothesized that one possible fix would be for the ECU to close - at least partially - the bypass during these operating conditions; it would generate a little boost and 'load' the blower drive so it wouldn't oscillate. I don't think that's possible from an efilive or hptuners perspective, though I'm sure GM could do it.

I don't know that there's anything else that can be done by GM, unless the internals are redesigned to change their resonance characteristics or lash in the drive is somehow totally eliminated - neither sounds likely.

I think the best bet is the old-style coupling with some tweaks to (hopefully) reduce/eliminate shaft wear.
