Axel back question?

So do any Axel backs or really even the Catbacks come with an Xpipe or is this something Id have to add? Was gonna do muffler delete (probably will anyways)but a buddy can get me a deal on an Axelback for around 250(Magnaflow) Thanks

I got a magnaflow axle back and it did not come with an x pipe. That is something you need to purchase seperately; or in a exhaust kit.

The axle backs will not have an X pipe included. Most of the catbacks will have an X or H pipe. It depends on the brand you buy.

I put the MagnaFlow Axle back on my M6, there is already an "H" pipe in there. I also left the resonators in place for now. Took the shop that did mine about 30 minutes to install and they look at sound good. A little louder but not much but there is a deeper sound. We'll see what happens with a few heat cycles if they get any louder. $250 for the StreetPerformance (not muffler delete) is a good price. The system definitely makes the back of the car look better without those cans hanging down.

A novice here....Axle backs vs catbacks.....which one would be the best option and why? I have planning on buying loudmouth 2 axle back but don't want to waste money if the other option is the best. Any help on this will be greatly appreicated.

It depends on what you are looking for...

An Axle-back system is basically just changing the sound of your exhaust.
A Cat-Back system will actually smooth flow and increase the sound. The smoothing of flow will allow you to gain HP. So if you are looking for the performance aspect then you would want a Cat-Back.

If you are just looking to sound more aggressive then go with the Axle-Back.
