I was going to hit the dealer but with my hail damage its on the back burner now.I'd say considering it happened to all of us nearly at once its some sort of OnStar system problem... Was there a recent update?

I have scheduled a 10:30 am appointment tomorrow morning. I still have not received any feedback from Onstar regarding this issue. Hopefully, the dealership will be able to provide more information than I received from Onstar.

I have not had a chance to see my dealer but today I didn't have a Bluetooth connection once I got into my Camaro. I then completely unpaired my phone from the radio and then repaired it and it still exhibits the same issue once I turn off the ignition and walk away.

What type of phones are you guys using? I have an iPhone 4 but I have the iOS 5 beta 4 software running on it. I wonder if that is the culprit?

I'm using a Sony Xperia Play so I doubt its the phone.

Also there is no way a bluetooth paired device is keeping the whole OnStar from shutting off.

Within the last 5 days I had this problem with my bluetooth. I would be in the house, or in my office at work, and my cell would ring, but when I tried to answer it, I couldn't hear or talk to anyone. Then I realized the bluetooth on my phone was lit up blue and the Camaro was picking up my calls. Couldn't imagine why my car was answering my phone when the car wasn't running. This has never happened before.

Droid X.

wow this is crazy... Onstar must have had some sort of SW update that whacked out over the weekend.

Looks like everyone this has happened to has a 2010... Wondering how many of you guys are early build as well? Mine is 13,989.

What's going on here?? Ghost in the machine, eh?

Strange that this has seemed to suddenly arise for us all near the same time.

I have an R6P like you do, Rogue Leader, mine is 10506. I also agree that it's not a problem with the phone. I have an LG Octane (not even a smart phone), so I doubt it's your OS affecting anything, JChen.

On the way to the dealership this morning, Onstar called and confirmed that I would need to take the car to the dealer to diagnose and fix the issue I was having. They also informed me that they would recompensate me for the inconvenience when the problem is fixed (despite it being the car and not their service with the issue, kudos Onstar). After looking at the Camaro, the dealer told me that they would have to replace the VCIM (vehicle control interface module) to resolve my issue. They anticipate that it will take 3 to 5 business days to receive the part and about 1 hour to replace it. In the interim, they must have reset the current VCIM as a temporary fix. I didn't test the directions & connections, but the bluetooth disconnected and Onstar lights shut off when I turned the car off.

When I receive the new VCIM, I will test the directions & connections to verify that my problem is solved then report back here.

I just noticed the OnStar lights on in my car after a couple of hours of being off. My phone wouldn't connect to the car via Bluetooth today either.

It just started today as far as I can tell, but I know this wasn't a problem on Saturday.

Did you use OnStar at all this week?

Wondering if maybe it happens when you first use it, or maybe it is a rolling update or something.

I have a 2011 2SS vert and had issues with my onstar from the beginning battery was dead a "red light will appear instead of the "green" one took it into Lonestar Chevrolet a couple times they replaced the battery and it would just turn back to red within a day or two ended up they had to replace the entire module but hadnt had any issues since.
