Sounds like you already have a bias to me!

Camaro turns heads because they are brand new and people don't see them that often. If you buy a Camaro expecting that it will get the same looks a year from now that it does today, you'll be disappointed. I think both cars are super nice, but...I'd still grab that Z06 providing there isn't anything wrong with it.

I vote the Z06.. I love the Camaro just as much as anyone else on here. But when I go to order my Camaro next March and there's a Z06 around for a decent price, I may also pick one up instead.

One thing I just found out, no warranty left on the Z06, it also has a sound system installed by a company that does installs on Overhaulin'. it also has every option you can get for it. Sounds sick but the no warranty thing isnt good although it is a low miles car. I am going to test drive the vette when the owner has the time. Hey 3GPa, which car do you recommend since you have owned both, pros and cons of either?

As an existing owner of 06 Corvette coupe, not a Z-06,I can still tell the difference between the Vette and Camaro. Each has 400 H.P.,but the Vette will literally kick the Camaro's ass! The Vette literally throws you back in the seat every time you stomp on it no matter how fast your going. My wife never use to wear a seatbelt till I got the Vette, now she wears it all the time! Everytime I get on the Vette and nail it,the seat belt sinches up and scares the shit out of her. Don't get me wrong,I like my Camaro alot, but when it comes to performance and raw speed go with the Z-06 dude!

Without a doubt: The Camaro.

Hands down.

I considered getting a new Corvette, but they have been around a long time and are everywhere. Don't get me wrong they are great but just everywhere.

I wanted something new and few in numbers at least for a while.

Pick the Camaro and dance like no one is watching.

The Z06! No doubt!

The C6 with the LS3 is already faster and handles better than the Camaro (not that the Camaro is bad at these things. It's just not as good as the 'Vette). Then, you add in the fact that it's a Z06 and I really think it's an easy decision.

If it's the warranty or color that bother you, the guy on this thread is trying to sell his yellow Z06 for 50k as well. 6k miles as opposed to 15k miles. http://mustangforums.com/forum/2005-...-creative.html (yes I know it's a mustang forum. That doesn't change the fact that the guy is trying to sell his Z06. And no, I'm not trolling.) I think his is still under warranty since he only bought it a year or so ago.

Good luck with your decision - it's your car, after all. The camaro is a great car. But the corvette is supposed to be the best thing that GM makes. And the Z06 is a better version of that (used to be the best until the ZR1 came around). The Z06 should be hands down better in pretty much every aspect.

I'd definitely pick the Camaro over the 2006 Z06. First of all, it is a new 2010 vehicle. Second, it is currently being treated like an exotic car..Something the corvette never gets treated like. If you want to take the car to the track and are concerned about the speed difference, or winning races...Then get yourself the Vette Z06.. If you want a car to cruise around and occasionally punch it..then get the Camaro SS..

It would depend on a couple of things. How old are you? Do you have kids?

If you are younger I can see getting one but if you are older then you may want to consider how low it sits because I know a few guys who loved the car but couldn't stand getting in and out of it because they were older and had issues. My brother owned a 65 Vette and I loved it and the way it handled. Never been in any other one so as far as comparing them I would go with the Vette if you can stand geting in and out and the Camaro if not or if you had kids.

I have both corvette an camaro. Driven them all, even have many hours in the 09 ZR1. Given the choice, it is tough. This new Camaro is too much fun. But for the long haul, if it is not to be your daily driver, then I would get the Z06. Just a lot of car for the money. If it was to be your daily driver, the Camaro would be the choice. Another thought, the Z06 has already gone through it's depreciation. Used corvettes always hold their value better anyway so in 5 years which one will give you the best return? Best yet, just go ahead and get both. That way, no compromises!

If I were seriously considering a Z06. Get the Vette! If for nothing else the sound. In a couple of years you will be able to get a used Camaro on the cheap, in much the same way you are getting the Z06.
