Thumbs up BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S

I know there's many threads on these tires, but I thought I'd start a fresh one with my personal experiences.

Yesterday, I really put them to the test! A buddy of mine in his 2015 GTR and I drove 'racers road' in Chapel Hill a couple times before calling it quits for the day.

The grip was phenomenal around corners and from a dead stop. I was taking 35mph corners at +55mph, performed hard braking from +120mph speeds into 45mph sweepers, and came out of the apexes at hard accelerating speeds of +75mph. My car suffered from supercharger heat soak, before I could lose grip. I did feel a skating effect in some of the slower corners (15mph-25mph), while coming in really hot and down shifting rapidly from greater speeds and standing on the gas peddle as I exited the apexes. These tires do perform. I am curious to see how they continue to perform as time/weather wears on the rubber... I will continue to update from time-to-time.

I also drove the car last week in wet weather and the tires gripped VERY well! They also broke through puddles with ease, leaving little to no hydroplaning (very good with such a wide contact patch).

Hope this tidbit of info helps you guys in deciding what tires will fit best for your Camaro.

Thanks a bunch!

I'm glad you mentioned hydroplaning as that is my main concern. My Pilot A/S 3s seem to hydroplane a lot easier than I'd like (although admittedly, I tend to drive fast no matter the conditions).

I'm looking at a set of these for next summer when I'm due for front replacements.

Temps were low to mid 60's.

I didn't get out to feel the road, but I'm assuming some spots were a little warmer from all the sun.

OK...that seals the deal on what to get as replacements.

Now...just to ask this...

I'm too cheep to take a great set of tires and say you guys stay here in a corner while I buy these.

Am I gonna want to put the Goodyears back on after?

I know there is plenty of wear left on them.

It rained today, and no problems.

Just.....fighting.....the.....temptation....to.... .upgrade......

Thanks!
Similar temps where I am.
Have mpss on now with bfg ready to mount.
Seems they will stick better although smaller size....

The GY's were good to me when temps were warmer and especially in the heat of the summer. I did not like how they handled in the wet though, even worse on black top roads.

I drove these same roads about 2 months ago on the GY's. Temps were in the mid 80's at the time and I didn't hit speeds like I did with the BFG's. The GY's performed well, but I skated into the low mph corners (15mph-25mph) a lot and came out of the corners apex spinning my ass off. The car never broke out of line, it stayed true, just a lot of wheel spin in the rear. Same with the long sweepers... on the GY's I didn't feel as planted as I felt with the BFG's. Granted, I was utilizing 6/32's of the remaining GY's and now I have a fresh set of BFG's. Like I stated above, time/weather will play a great deal on the rubber. When Spring comes around, I'll give it another hard run and see what the BFG's have to offer me.

My GoPro took a dump on me and stopped recording right before our hard run. We couldn't have asked for better weather yesterday.

Check out the rubber he was laying with his AWD!

I also think the reasons I was giving my BFG's that hard of a run, was the fact that I was trying to stay on the GTR's tail... which he always pulled 5 to 6 car lengths on me out of every corner. That thing was a BEAST!
