94 fog lights help please

Okay, I've never changed my fog lights. I've done the headlights and know that you need a whole new light housing, not just a bulb. what about the fog lights? are they the same or is it just a bulb?

Quick question... do you have a double jointed arms & hands??

These were quite tricky to change.

I have the thumbs & long arms, I'm thinking when I did this I did not ramp the front which would help, you have to yrach uo In & under something to reach the lamp base.

I'm pretty sure the dealer or shop manuals procedure was releasing the entire front facade, I was able to do it removing 3-6 of those plastic rivits.... another design where the engineer should be shot, I have one that only stays on for a few minutes, so I may be doing this very soon.

Is there any aftermarket housings that are drop in for this?

I would go for the diachloric yellows personally.

880 fits into 885 for fog light conversion. the sealed beam housings have to be retrofitted with something that will accept a replaceable bulb. Hella makes a really nice set up, but there are a lot of cheaper kits on ebay.

Believe I got my housings for my low beams from a company called Auto Optics..( & fitted them with 9005 or 9006 lamps) unsure if they are around still, only drawback these are made of steel & might be succeptable to rust if you are driving in the salt.

I had removed the reflector in the Factory fog lamp, this requires removal of the lense then re-gasketing it. Throws a bit different beam pattern.

I've found this site to be a huge help for my 4th gen. I used this guide to change out a broken foglamp a few years ago and it was nice to have this as a step-by-step guide!

Definitely go from under the car, tried changing out mine from the front one time and last time. If you change out 1 bulb better off doing them both, cause sure enough as soon as you do one the other will be out within days.
