Funny Comment from my Dealer - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So Im talking to my dealer today about possibly upgrading to a 2SS. We get to talking about availability and where his Dealer cars are and he tells me this story:

So I get back from our Rep Meeting last night, and up pulls a Yellow 2SS. We were thinking either CTF or something, so werent we suprised when a lady pops out of the drivers seat and asks.. " I sure would like to buy one of these, do you have any available?" She rented it for the week. Wants to buy one and can't .. No one has them yet.

I just thought this was funny and at the same time, nerve racking. Has to piss off the dealer a little too knowing that he coulda had one sold.. If he had one.

sucks that rentals are getting there before customer sold cars...but alas, this is how it is...

Look about halfway down. I guess if you want to drive one, just go rent it. Pre-ordering is for fools!

I agree, all of us who pre-ordered (well, most of us) got shafted by GM.. I really believe we should have all been first in the priority list all things considered.

NICE! LOL I can understand why GM did that... for the obvious... as you have shown us here... BUT! she came in to what? No cars available... so makes you wonder... what would have been better? to get them to the pre orders and the dealers first... then AVIS?.... the world may never know...

Alright i got to vent. how in the heck do they have them down in GA but I cannot find one for rent in NY, NJ or PA.
