2010 Camaro SS vs 2014 V6 Camaro
So I'm deciding between a 2010 Camaro SS vs 2014 Camaro 2LS.
I know the 2010 Camaro SS makes about 400-426 hp and the 2LS makes 323 but.... It's a 2010... 6 years... and it has 60k miles on it versus the 20k on the 2ls. Which would be a better option ? |

I had the same (almost) decision to make. I had to choose between a '13 w/25,000 and a '14 with 45,000. The '14 had stripes, but no rear spoiler, the '13 had a spoiler but no stripes. Otherwise they were the same car. I ended up choosing the '13 for the longer available warranty.

I might be missing something here but you're comparing an SS with a 2LS. Two different animals all together. The SS is stated 400hp A6 and 426hp M6 where as the 2LS has 323hp. Now when you translate the hp, we're talking at the motor which is what the manufacturer advertises. There is a loss of power through the drive line so the SS will probably be in the neighborhood of around 376hp there about and the 2LS in the range of 283hp. If you're looking at power the SS is the no brainer. If you're just wanting a newer car then the 2014 is the way to go. Obviously there is NO REPLACEMENT or DISPLACEMENT.
I personally had a 2010 V6 that I bought new in December of 2009 that I loved ( 11K miles when traded) and modded out but ended up trading it 3yrs later for a 2011 2SSRS with 3400 miles on it. A year difference but I was in love with the RJT color that only ran for two years. Again, it really depends on what you're wanting, power or newer looks. Now sure what you're wanting to spend but I would imagine you could find a nicer, new SS at a great price since so many have jumped on the SixGen.

I've got a 96 Z28 in my garage that I drove for close to 10 years before moving on. I kept it because it's such a nice car. However, I've been wanting to put a big block in it.
I've got the big block sitting in my garage waiting for an overhaul, but the more I think about it I think I'm going to sell it & pick up a V6 body to gut. I know it's not a big deal, they made so many Z28s back then it will never be worth anything... I just don't like the idea of tearing apart a Z28. Now, with that said & your situation if we're talking the same money, I'd buy the SS if you really like to drive, maybe want to dabble in racing. I'd buy the 2014 if you're more into trouble free experience. Another note, that '96 in the garage was a hoot to drive even though it came from the factory with less than 300 hp at the crank.

Thanks for the responses. I ended buying the v6 because the SS had some problems and it wasn't a color I liked. Though a v6 Camaro isn't bad. It's still faster than frs, gensis, and even 350z and definitely faster than a v6 mustang. So I'm happy with the v6 Camaro!
