I'll run a magnet all the way down inside. I have one that works great for that.

Dropping the pan all the way is a pain in the ass. Gotta lower the tranny if I"m not mistaken.

Are you at 100,000 miles yet? The motor could just be gone since it has had Forced induction on it for a while and was not built for it.

not at his boost levels... He's only ran it at the track a handful of times... mostly freeway driving, even if it's spirited...

I'm not saying it's not possible that the engine let go, but there are so many cars with his boost level and higher on the stock bottom end that I'm betting against a blown motor/block

I started my pickup this morning and the oil pressure was at zero... What the heck, dude???

Are the pan plugs magnetic?

Did you see anything on the plug when you changed the oil?

I wouldn't freak out too much till I got a sample off the bottom of the pan..... I guess you didn't take an oil sample.

Where did the two quarts go?

No magnetic plugs. No metal in the oil. Strained it through a towel. Did not save a sample before I poured it into my bucket of old oil and lube.

The two quarts went all over my blower and engine bay. haha

I may have blown a bearing because I forgot about the big knocking that it did just after I started it the other day after sitting. Was not ticking or clatter but knocking. Only for a second or so. Bout 3 or 4 good knocks.

I figured it was something loose in the engine bay and the car bucking from not being started for two weeks. Plus the sensor having been taken out yada yada.

I'll find out this weekend. Keeping a possitive train of thought. Not even worried about it.

OMG, OMG, OMG, ...................... Shit. I hope I hope.

You were right on the oil flow, it may be just the pump, hopefully. I have heard my engines knock on occasion after changing the oil due to the dry filter, and still (KNOCK ON WOOD) good oil pressure in them. If the knocking did not stop, then I would be more concerned. With the amount of debris in the oil filter, the pressure relief/regulator could be stuck open causing the low pressure.

Maybe if I shed enough blood getting the pump off the Camaro Gods will see it as an offering and have mercy on me.

I love your dedication to your car. I would have sent that one down the road a long time ago.

I hope you get it all worked out.

Engine ain't blown.

I've seen and heard blown engines. And this thing purrs when it's started. Started it for the last time to back it in to the garage.

Got all the oil pan bolts out, harmonic balancer pulley off, water pump off, Janetty tansioner had to come apart, moved the alternator and ONE FREAKING pan to timing cover bolt kicked my ass. It's right above the frame and the hot cable and tray sits below it too. 45 minutes and finally called it a night. One bolt from the pump. Ugh............

Do I see a bolt relocation in the future?
