Nothing wrong with that. I would have taken my fourth gen to some of the other fests if it didn't cut into my 1LE fund. You will get better mileage than the majority on the way there and back but the small gas tank will suck.

Any idea when the hotel info will be announced? Last year I almost missed out on the host hotel, and want to be sure I am checking the site daily in the days or week before its announced.

I know, but doesn't really matter to me. I'd rather be guaranteed a room than save a few bucks. The difference between the group rate at Wyndham and regular price was only $7. Plus, I can always get the government rate.

We are actually working on something to give you early notice and not have to worry about checking the threads everyday. I seriously doubt there will be overflow hotels this year and everyone will have no problem getting in at the host hotel.

The more people we have at the host hotel the more fun it is.

Good to know. I'll hold off on my mass reservations then, lol. Thanks.

I'm still debating on my attendance to Fest4. I know I have plenty of PTO available from work...I just have to see how the purchase of a new home affects my available budget and go from there.
It'd be fun driving back up there again with ya.

How in the heck is it TOO far???

We ALL did it last year.

Some of us are going to do it again. Yes. It's far. But it's doable and is absolutely worth it!

Bad call IMO. Should have been more towards the middle of the country. Indiana is friggin boring folks. I travel there every 4 weeks for work to visit a customer, and I can tell you that there is no good reason to have it in this town. The best reason against it, the cops suck. They are hard core up there and it would have been so much better in Texas, Alabama, Georgia, etc...

We aren't going to Indy for anything other than hanging out with fellow C5ers and some racing. They don't pick Fest locations for how entertaining the surroundings are. Last Fest the only reason I left the parking lot was to eat or go to LOR.
