Possibly trading in the morning, got my choices narrowed down to 2 right now

I'm going to trade my 2LT for a 2LT/RS. I was going to go the SS route, but right now financially it makes more sense to just stay with the 2LT and I want the RS package. I'll be able to trade fairly close to even.

Anyways, here are the two options, for those that have seen or own something similar, I'd like your input.

2011 Black with black leather interior with white hood stripe, fully loaded out, moon roof, etc. 34k miles

2011 Black with IOM interior w/IOM hood stripe, 19k miles, fully loaded, etc.

I'm going to trade my 12 2LT down for it for a couple of reasons. The main reason is I like the HID lights and the 20" wheels better. With what it'd cost to buy these, I can just trade and have an actual RS, which would be worth a little more when I did get ready to trade.

The other reason is mine had a mild accident report on the bumper. I know it's not a big deal, no damage to the trans, etc. but that little thing DOES bother me. Both of these have clean carfaxes. Also, I have bigger hands, and I've hit the paddle shifters a few times, and I like the steering wheel AND the shifters better on the '10-11 models. I should also note mine has 31k miles.

Anyways, I'd like some opinions from you guys who have seen these. I'm leaning towards the IOM, but I've wondered if it'll get old or anything. I know it's a popular option, but yeah..a little help?

IMO, your 12 will be worth more in the long run. I'd stick it out and get an SS in a bit, because there is no "even trade" when you are losing a model year. Heck, you could probably find a 10 SS for around what you want to pay.

Don't have one, but I go lower mileage in a heartbeat all else being the same.

I agree. Keep your '12. You always lose some money on a trade, especially when going from a 2012 to 2011. Save your money now and buy that used (or new) SS in the future.

I'd stay with the 2012, but since you are wanting to trade it, I would probably be more interested on the one with lower miles. I would think the one with lower miles has been better taken care of, but I would make sure. Maybe the one that got used more was treated better.

Are you trolling? I definitely don't want a Challenger (though I'd get one any day over a Mustang).

Also, I should have clarified...I CAN afford an SS insurance and payment. It's the gas I'm concerned about. This will be my DD, and when I had my Sierra 1500, I was paying at least $100-120 a week, and it'll be about the same for this one.

I'll get a Z28 someday hopefully (if they come out like we think), but I'm really wanting an RS right now.

Personally if your doing this primarily for the RS package your wasting your money/equity.
