Car falls on face after about 10ft rolling out
Went to local 1/8th mile track last night launched car from 3000-5000. No matter what I did it would hookup when i released the clutch go about 10ft then fall on its face. Its not bogging at the initial hit just when car rolls out. During burnout box no problem just when it hooks and starts rolling out. The rpm drops like traction control cutting power then car just picks back up and hauls ass. I held the traction control button down 8 seconds turns on both lights giving me full control. Dont understand in the street I can slip the clutch at 3200rpms hazes the road and moves out. All you Manual 6sp track gurus give me some input. Car has cam,TSP headers,3.91 gears, ported throttle body, ported intake,Nx 150shot with standealone fuel system and fastlane coldair intake.I posted in another thread a member said fastlane intakes heat soak real bad.I only have couple of options because of my fuel cell.

Log your runs and see what the data is telling you.

I just assumed you had HP Tuners or something to log with. I would invest in it or EFI live.

I have the same problem. I suspect it has to do with torque management/powerhop settings. it doesnt want to pull hard in first gear but once im in 2nd then it takes off

Do you have a line lock when you do you're burnouts and do you have a separate clutch reservoir?

Are you slipping the clutch out of the hole? You have to ride the clutch out and keep the rpms up, my car would do the same thing also. I hated the 6 speed, put a th400 in it like I did. You'll never look back, my car is faster and much more fun.

I had Johnathon from Tickperformance Data logged my car at track. He left at 5300rpms car dead hooked rolled out 10ft then fell on its face again. We looked at the data the computer closed the throttle 15% .RPM dropped to 1400rpm then open back up to 100% throttle. What he found was a wheel speed sensor setting on one of the tables set at 15mph and certain rpm range. He disabled it raised rpm setting up. Then it started raining so we couldnt test again but we think we found the problem.

Interesting, I wonder if my car had the same issue. My car was doing the same thing with the stick. Wouldn't matter what RPM I left at, always seemed to feel like it was getting dragged down right after launch.

Bad70supreme I'm 100% positive it was same issue. He went through tables that he normally don't go into to find it.

Interesting. I had mine at the track yesterday for the first time with the supercharger and 18' drag radials. Things hook like mad on a good track but it would either hop or bog down out of the hole. I didn't even need a burnout.
Now I get why guys say an automatic with a converter is better for the track in these cars.

If I would have known this I might have gave my stick more time.
