With the lighted gauges (showing), it looks better than I thought, I like the steering wheel too, it's coming along.

Yeah it doesn't look like it's going to have a Nav screen, can Onstar find me the closest ATM or place to eat? Eh, guess I'll go read more on Onstar.

I'm wondering if we are looking at the V6.. hmm.
I missed the cup holders.

Well it was a total shock to catch these new photos but man am I happy I logged on!

Totally no problem with the ignition in the steering column, reminds me of my childhood sitting in my uncle's muscle car and pretending I was driving. It brings back the retro memories.

After getting over my tach obsession, I looked at the exterior shots and I have to agree with you. The wheel/tire combo does not look low profile enough to be in line with V8 performance.

Yeah the ignition location is totally personal taste, and its not a big deal. To me in-dash or push button just seems to indicate a more special kind of car, but that's not concrete at all.

Yeah I don't think onstar does POI functions, making a portable nav unit more handy. I hope it has XM radio built in then so I don't have to have two display screens tacked on to the dash.

I think this may very well be the DI 3.6. That would line up perfectly with the tach and torque gauges. Interesting stuff....

And yes, that shifter looks pretty short throw to me. Yay.

I wonder if the aftermarket will offer some badges like the old Camaro emblem. I'd get some of those.

I like the progress. The A/C controls are a little big but it looks good. This is probably the base model trim. It should just get better.

Not sure I like the flatness of the overall shape of the dash and I definitely don't like the shifter. I'd fallen in love with the concept's shifter, but I guess I can always buy it aftermarket (assuming its offered).

The size of the steering wheel does seem more in proportion now and I really like having all the extra gauges (ie torque etc).

All in all I'll reserve judgment until I see the final product, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to resort to aftermarket parts to get what I really want.

Found some spy pics!

Check this link out! It has some spy pics that I haven't seen yet. And as far as I know, nobody has posted them here yet. They were taken when they still had the camo on them prototypes, but the majority are interior pics anyways.
Here's something interesting though....
In the pic showing the quad gauge cluster on the center console there is a torque gauge... and it maxes out at 370 ft/lbs. I'm curious if this is really going to be on the production models. And if it is, wouldn't this be a clue as to what kind of HP numbers we might expect from a V8 version? Usually GM's HP and torque numbers don't differ by much. What do you guys think?

370 lb-ft?...ly5(but this is a truck engine) has around 340 lbft..L76 has around 385 lbft

Just gotta add that since my Saab has the ignition in the midedle console this is going to take some getting used to. Don't mind though, I like the Saab thing but it is a bit quirky.

do you guys think the instument cluster there will change based on the model? more specifically between v6 and v8 and maybe between v8's?

i really hope that they do and this is a v6 cuz a 370 torque max in a v8 is a lttle low, in my opinion. im hoping for somewhere in the 400's. the higher the better.

The torque gauge must be reading the injector duty cycle, and calculating some percentage of MAX output and displaying that. You'd never show ACTUAL rear wheel torque because its a crazy number (3.92 axle ratio X 4.027 first gear ratio X 395lb*ft @ flywheel = 6,235_lb*ft @ rear wheels)

My guess is that this car has the gauge, but it may not actually reflect the engine thats in it... but if it does its probably the L76 or LS3. It would make more sense for GM to modify an LS3 to spin a bit faster and make less torque, it makes everything lighter and would allow for more power.

Also, we STILL don't know how much this car weighs... if its 4200lbs then yes, 395lb*ft is a little low (L76 output). If the car weighs 3600lbs then we are all set!

Either way, the gauge values are probably still all over the place as they sort out levels of tune, packages, etc.

Looking at the cammo and the covers on the exterior, I realized that these pics have to be several weeks old. I wonder if the interior has undergone any improvements in the time these pics were taken and posted?
