V8 idles hard?

Hi everyone. I have a V8 auto Camaro. I've had it for 3 days. When i'm sitting at a stop light the car seems to idle hard......do your cars do this?

I usually have the radio and air on; this is my first V8 so I didn't know if it has something to do with the fact it is a V8 or if there may be something wrong with the car.

Enjoy it!!! Your cam is causing your baby to dance. I've had an LS1, LS2 and now the
LS3. They all do it.

Since this is your first V8, I'd imagine what your feeling is normal. The cam is designed more for power than idle quality. The car wants to go, not sit at idle. It's just part of the fun of owning a big cube V8!

Isn't it great? The idle shake reminds me of my pit bull...can't sit still and has so much energy she can't wait for the command to "go get it".

It should be normal, I just wish my current car shook a bit lol. Sometimes I forget I started it before I leave the parking lot. Plus when I drive my dad around back home at every red light he asks me if its still running. Gotta love the extra balance shafts of a 4cyl.

this is actually a fatal problem with the ls3. The best thing I can suggest is to remove it from the vehicle and ship it to me. Once it arrives I will send you the lq9 from my current truck, which idles smooth as silk and will drop right into your new car.

No need to thank me, its the least i can do

It's a sports car. It's cammed like one. Cam lope is perfectly normal. You should sit in a drag car sometime. You get a free massage while waiting on the tree!
