I heard GM is having a problem with noise from the power steering lines. Financial troubles are probably slowing down any O/T repairs. Nothing more than just word of mouth I heard.

My car went on line yesterday. I have tried to get a serial number for insurance as they have to have one to insure the car. My dealer said there is a hold on all of the Canadian cars

I, for one, am getting impatient for my car. But, thinking as a mechanic, if there is something not right with the cars and GM is fixing them before they are shipped, I think we will all be happier. I was nervous about getting a car in the first production year as I know manufacturers can have problems with them. GM, I'm sure, knows this too and I am quite sure they do not want to disappoint us with what we have coming. GM is very proud of this car and want us to be proud owners. I'm thinking/hoping this will pay off in the long run.

I have no problem with QA holds, but my car was built 4 weeks ago, they should at least let us know through the dealer an ETA. Don't think that is asking too much. We don't need to know the specifics, just an ETA

And I agree totally with that. The only reason I can see that GM is being so "secretive" (if that's the proper word) is they want this to be perfect. They are one of the 3 involved in the bailout and want to prove themselves. Being a GM man for many years, I like to think they don't need to prove themselves. Let's see them OUT DO themselves!

Well a dealer in Ontario got a V6 today and still no signs of my car, I complained to gm cistomer service and they called my delaer and told them i was bitching and they were told it could be shortly now. When this ranting is over with you can bet I will fume about the status on my ZR1 order next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I helped gm put many cars on the road when I worked for a high volume dealer and my last 3 Corvettes were nothing but brutal expierences.Lets hope this camaro isn't!!!!!!

How do you get a hold of Customer Service anyways? Are they better to talk to rather than your own dealer? And Anyone from Vancouver?

This is not a new car. I saw it in Detroit in Jan. of 06. One would think that is enough time to get things right. ie. the cheap a$$ wheel weights. What is that? If they do not have the bugs out of it by now I fear what else will go wrong. That's why I like my 67s. I can repair anything that is wrong with them.

Huh??? That was a "CONCEPT" vehicle. Of course this is a new car and as such "new production" vehicles have their issues. If you don't have an early order car then you don't even have to worry about the wheel weights.

The vehicle you saw in 2006 was GM's concept Camaro. The vehicles we are getting ARE new vehicles designed after the concept. The only reason I can figure you think this car has been around since 2006 is because it looks like the concept car.
