Today was the Day............................................... ....To buy a GT500.
Found it out of state. Great deal and very easy people to work with. They are overnighting me the paperwork. If everything checks out....I am no more a GM faithful.

Sorry general got sick of waiting. I am glad the car actually took the extra time to come in. It gave me time to think that the LS3 wasn't going to get it done coming out of a much lighter LS2 vette...All good things come to those who wait

. In this case it was in the shape of a GT 500.....

If the car came in a month ago I would be driving it. Who knows if there would of been regret or not but i would of bought it....Now I am 100 % sure I made the right decision.

Oh and I was able to give my car (if it ever shows up) to a close friend of mine who doesn't car about HP....

Now just have to Call JLT and 1100 later we will be rippin.....Sorry General

Nice, but no thanks, I would rather have the 2SS RS any day. For the amount you spent, You can upgrade the Camaro and whoop the GT500, the times are super close now. But to each his own, enjoy it.

I'm with you SPRSPT. I am working on a GT500 to pick up this weekend at around 35K. Can't go wrong with 475 HP. If 1SS had leather, that would be my choice.

I like how rare GT500 will be also. Another reason I was considering SRT8, but could not get those bankrupt a$$eSS to go down. gas guzzler and 1K for stick is retarted.

Thxs All....Like I said it's out of state so I will sign up tomorrow and send one of our trucks after it end of the week into next week. I am blessed to be able to ship at little to no expense so buying out of atet was easy....Thxs East Side....

I love the LS based motor you can't beat it N/A but once I drove a CTS V with the LSA I knew I couldn't settle for a N/A set up again....Only if the General had enough balls to put that LSA in a camaro and fullfill all our dreams we could of had the best of both worlds....But the GT 500 will do just fine for now. simple mods and get 525-550 to the wheels.....how can you beat it.

You won't need an upgrade. Read the new (June) Motor Trend. A NEW 2010 Shelby GT500 0-60 4.7, 2010 Camaro SS 0-60 4.7 sec.

Congrats on the purchase. If you have half us much fun with it as I have with mine since I bought it, you won't have any regrets.

The price diff. I ended up paying was less than 4 grand....Camaro ain't catchin the Shelby for 4 grand with out N2O...A monster H /C setup will get you close but just make a lower pulley change on the 500 and then easily have that covered also....Sorry I know I am hatin on the SS but it's the truth. All the General had to do is slap a motor they already have in the SS and call it the king of the hill and we wouldnt be having this discussion....

No doubt...I will be the 1st to admit the shelby is slow stock. But one simple mod later you got the camaro covered by about 6 car lengths...
