I don't come here often, mostly to speak of how awesome Ivan is for whatever he sold me...but I had to share. I went to change my oil for the first time on Tuesday after a happy 15 months and 2900 miles (yes, 2900). I got her jacked up on stands and wiggled under. I got up near the filter and drain plug, and saw that one of the bolts on my oil pan was black with oil. There was no oil drops on my garage floor, so I was mostly baffled under there for a few minutes. Poked around and found it was coming from the oil cooler. SUPER TINY LEAK! Anyway, found the TSB here on this great forum, brought it to the dealer today, and it'll be there until tomorrow. Just an upgraded gasket according to them.

Had to share being that I just about cried when I saw it! Everyone should change their own oil! lol

Oh, and here's a link that I found that looked EXACTLY like what I saw:

We miss you soundwave. Thanks for the heads up. We've both changed our own oil, and didn't experience this leak. Plus have had both our cars up on the lift many times for inspection/upgrades. I just wonder how common this problem is. I did have a coolant leak on mine. It was a hose clamp that needed to be tightened.

I love you man. LOL

Hey, on the serious note.....thank you for sharing your find with the guys. I actually just ran out and took a look, and save for some of the Arizona Camarofest road grime, it looks about the way it should with no signs of leaking...YET.

Thank you for sharing the Tech and also pimping the Service! Come see us soon brotha!

Exclamation Speedway Drift Series

I'm not sure if anyone would be interested...

Maybe we can do one of our Camaro Round Ups/Cruise and head out to the Sandia Motorsports Speedway to watch the Speedway Drift Series.

There are several planned for the summer:

Drift Practice:
Sunday, May 29th
Sunday, July 17th
Sunday, Sept 18th

Drift Competition:
Saturday, June 25th
Saturday, Aug 13th

Drift Season Finale (2 day event):
October 1st and 2nd

General Admission is $5 per person, except for the Drift Finale where it's $15 per person.

If you want to drift your Camaro, it costs extra.
