Kicker amp shortage
Hello everyone. I have my camaro in the shop right now because something strange has been happening. My camaro first had its battery die (about 48000 miles, and 2.5 years), then they informed me they tried to start it this morning but wouldn't start. It had a good battery, but the engine area was only getting 4 volts. They disconnected the kicker amp, this is just for a single 10" kicker sub, and it has worked great since. They are going to reconnect the power to the amp and try again.
To me it seems like there is a short somewhere in the wiring for the amp. I am looking for a second opinion, to make sure my thinking is current. If so, any suggestions on how to fix the problem.

Hook the amp back up and than do a short test between the negative side of the battery and the negative side battery cable. Make sure all doors are closed. Do this with the amp connected and disconnected and see if there is a change in your draw...
