Rowing your own gears, hitting a perfect rev matched heel/toe shift barnstorming a back country road, bouncing off the rev limiter once in a while when you get cocky with her, a battle worn shift knob, achieving a mechanical connection to a car that an automatic can never give.... Yes, really.

Or of course you can brag to your buddies that your automatic is a fraction of a second faster than the stick.

I'm just bustin your balls a little, I'm a road racer so I'm over sensitive to such discussions... soapbox out, to each his own.

im using tapshift on my automatic and i can tell you that i can get cocky with her as much as i want and can bounce the rev limiter when i want to and there no grinding between the 2and 3 gears!and lots of (new school)road racer using tapshift by the way and there's lot of ppl who did take the chance with the 6L90E for 2013 almost haft of the buyers

Get what you want. My other 2 cars are sticks, so easy choice for me. More phun to drive, imo. But, hey, if all you drive are auto's, why not?

And, yeah, slightly quicker and, for most of us, more consistent (on street tires) if drag racing is your thing.

Hey, all I know is, when I mat it, my passenger (all of 'em) stops talking, I let up, and they bust out laughing. I think that'll happen in either M or A.

Wow this has to be the dumbest comment I've seen so far this month. There's plenty of Auto vs Manual threads on here. Let's not turn this into one.

Bingo. I have driven both and I like both. Don't ruin this guy's thread with that.

Do IT!!!

I traded my 2 SS 2012 vert for ZL1 in early June. Had spent over 7 k in mods on the 2 SS and then realized I was trying to build a ZL1 and that it would't be possible, so I just did it and haven't regretted it once.

SO GO FOR IT!!!!!!!

The 2SS was auto, now have stick - much happier.

I saw on line that the dealership now has 2 ZL1 on their website. May have to go see the second one too. Can't get enough of the refresh and also get another chance to put my ass in another Zl1 before mine arrives.
