Oh god... the wait begins.
I'm already tired of waiting! Ordered today. Black 1SS. Simple. After almost a year of contemplating it.
can't wait! I don't know how you guys who ordered pre production could stand that wait! |

If you ordered one year ago you would have had a lot longer wait. Heck, I couldn't get dealers to talk to me a year ago. You guys will have your cars by the time the weather improves. Congrats on the orders and good luck.

Nice. I ordered a Black 1SS not quite a month ago. The car may be delivered next week.
I cant believe how quick it is getting done. I was planning on an april delivery due to the weather. I guess Ill keep it in the garage for a little while and take my time installing all the stuff I have waiting for it (cai,cat-back,ud pulley, catch can, short throw shifter, 4-pack gauges, some black out pieces, dash plaque emblem by the ignition, SS door sills.....) I have spent about 2500 on it all ready and its not in the driveway lol. |

I have an idea for you to pass the time. Start by making one post on the Camaro5 forums. Make two posts the next day, four the day after that, and so on, doubling the number of posts everyday. Do that until your car comes. It will definitely help occupy your time.
All kidding aside, congrats on the order!

There are a lot of us in the same waiting boat..... At least the weather is still crappy so we can't drive them yet.

Just ordered one too! I figured I'd start posting here to help pass the time as suggested, but I think browsing these forums will make the wait seem even longer...

Welcome to the madness, MADF1. Unless you're incredibly lucky it should take about 8 weeks from order until you drive it off the lot. Some folks have done it in less than a month and some order and wait for their dealer to get allocation. These forums cover everything Camaro. If you read all the posts you can, you will know everything that can be added or removed, how and when, and most assuredly that you can put twice as much money into your new car than what you originally thought. But 99.9% of the people here will help you out if you need. I think that .01% of the posters here are Mustang owners in disguise and just post things that rile us up!

Mine only took 25 days from the time I ordered to the day it was built (just found out it was built today, ordered on jan.30). Car will be delivered next week. So pretty much 1 month total time. If the dealer has an open allocation GM is really cranking them out in the winter months. Must be they are getting more efficient at it or production is down due to the time of year.
