Stripes now installed by the factory
I don't know if anybody's posted this, or if anybody actually cares for that matter, but it seems the stripes are now installed by the factory.
Back at the end of February, I ordered a yellow SS with the rally stripes. It was built on Apr. 14th. I heard about camarotracking.com & punched in my VIN. It said that as of Fri. Apr. 16th, it was ready to be shipped from Oshawa. The dealership got it Fri. Apr. 23rd, so I went there on the 24th to fill out the papers (I get it tomorrow - yay!). It was filthy from sitting in the rain, but the stripes were already on it. I asked about them being dealer installed & was told that GM wasn`t covering the total cost of calling in someone to put them on, so the dealerships started complaining. My salesman said that GM now ships the cars to Windsor to have the striped installed & then ships them from there. I can`t verify if he`s correct, but the stripes were on & the car had definitely been sitting in the rain. |

yeah they've been coming from the factory for since around aug or sept last year

Originally only the White and Black Rally stripes were installed at teh "factory" the rest were dealer installed, BUT, GM got so many complaints they started having them ALL put on at the factory, starting in about mid Octorber or November of last year.
