adding SS Badges
Has anyone added SS badges to their car ?, I was thinking about putting an SS badge on the dash right above the glovebox but don't know if it would look good or like crap. I looked around but only found badges that go on the exterior.

Don't you have the SS embroidered into the head rests on the seat? Say no to excess badging! I think it looks tacky but its your car.

There are a ton of people who have put not only SS badging but old school "Camaro" script badging on the dash here on Camaro5. It's all up to you. If you think it looks good, do it.
Here is a pic: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=ss+badge+dash or the old school http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ro+school+dash

I personally don't like badges. If it wasn't for the hole behind the rear bowtie I'd have my car debadged. Everyone knows what it is, and most people will know whether you have the v6 or v8 when you drive by. But like it was said above it's your car so you should do what makes you happy. If not why even have a car you care about?

You have to admit the SS badge in the plastic piece above the dash looks pretty sweet in that first thread link,
thanks for the input all |

I'm with the other poster in that less is more. IMO, if you stick it on, it will look like you stuck it on. If you like the SS in that spot, I think taking the trim off and having it painted on, would look nicer.

The Camaro Script on the dash below the plastic break looks really good. Classic and like it belongs there. Aside from that, the SS brand has been bastardized with the whole Impala, Monte Carlo, etc...
Granted, some of the cars were cool...they were no Super Sport cars from a traditional standpoint. Putting more SS emblems on the car makes it gaudy in my free opinion... -Ivan |
