Heh! No, no. Just asking so I can make an informed comment on your double-wire IDC (insulation displacement connection) It may be fine. The size is not on the wire, rather, the setting of your wire stripper would tell you... unless you didn't use one.

I stripped it using the 22.20 mark but it took off a couple of wires. It fits through the 18 mark with room to move around.

Should I have not stripped?

Meh. You are probably fine. Don't worry until something bad happens.

LOL I just meant that it's likely fine and the worst that can happen is that the lights flicker or go out eventually. That could be years down the road, if ever.

Ok....I guess i can deal with that. Being that I'm a novice at wiring, I don't want to jack anything up or burn the car down. Thanks for getting my blood pressure back up.

Can someone please post a pic of the wire you need to tap into in order for the footwell lighting to come on with the ABL in the doors at night? I thought I saw it before in this thread but I can't find it now...

Help asap!
I Originally tied into dome light. I now hooked up my switch using 12v power from fuse box. Everything works correctly, but it's back feeding into the dome light when I turn the switch on. I'm using the aac switch that came with my lights. I just want footwells on with switch. Not sure how to get around it.
