Neither the stock or the VFN is "functional."

you may wanna look again, look at the front of your hood and you will clearly 4 small vents that sits right against the Airbox, as well as the outer grille is cut out/functional, you can make it functional if you really wanted to buy doing some cutting but sometimes its not worth it

Demon your OEM hood should look like this on the bottom while having the vents toward the front near the latch that little "W" section is the functional ram air

I'm very familiar with the hood. This is why I put quotations around "functional" as to state it loosely. It's truly nothing to make a difference other than to say it's "functional."

If it worked as a true "ram air," then it would be located at the leading edge of the hood like the WS6 or UltraZ. This is also why the FTRA/SSRA/etc is used and the lower portion of the air box is sealed.

I agree with Steve. It might work some, but not like the Firehawk or WS6 hood can. No problem though, just do the free ram-air mod and call it a day.
