What is this, a Ferrari?....... $370.00 for an alignment!!!!!!!!

Ok. After installing my drop springs took the car to the dealer (had warranty paint work to do anyway) and got a call a few minutes ago with the price.

Something about having to research the specs. (to which I said I wish they would have asked me) and do all 4 wheels.

Seem a bit much? Or should I have them do it. Sur wasn't expecting this. If it's normal then fine but I was thinking around 100.00

Just got a message from them about 30 seconds ago. She said they would chock up one of the hours researching the specs to educational benefit on how to do a 4 wheel alignment on a modified car and do it for 280.00 instead.

i was quoted 150 locally here in Texas... 280 is way overpriced... they were offering me unlimited alignments for a full year for 200.

Did they also tell you to wear sweatpants and bring a jar of vaseline when going to pick up the car?

I told them to just finish the paint work and park it.

They were willing to 'Chock an hour up to education' LMAO

Now they wont make a dime.

I'd even pay up to 200.00 but not 370.00

So whith them not taking another hour off, they get nothing.

yeah same here at stonebriar chevrolet in frisco tx. they said 119 for a fourwheel. i think i would rais a little hell if i were u. they dont have to look up specs. reguardless of how high the car is up and dow the specs of caster camber heel tow should all be the same. its just a measurment if degrees in and out i believe. the only factor that differs is if you have enough adjustment to compisate for the angle the wheels are after the lowering. just varrified that with our front end guy. the only way they would need to charge you more is if they had to drill or slot anything to get it into spec. thats why they make camber kits and lengthened controller arms so they can get to the desired adjustment. if you go too far one way or the other there just inst enough tie rod or adjusment in the adjusting parts to get to the angle. they effed you man.

I was quoted $109 for a 4 wheel alignment by my local chevy dealer. I had it done for $79 at a local shop - including a discount

Yes, but was the suspension modified for those prices? I can't imagine some drop springs causing THAT much more of an issue with alignment though
