How do you wash/clean your engine compartment?

As the title says... How do you wash/clean your engine compartment and engine?

Do you use high pressure water, or only low pressure? Any parts of the engine that you do not clean due to electrical issues or other?

All inputs are appreciated!

It's as easy as the video shows. I've cleaned all three engine bays of our cars the last month or so & they look great. I personally follow up with CG's Silk Shine & have loved the results.

Follow the video and you're golden!

Be sure to never use high pressure water and never use water on a hot engine bay. Hot engine + water = steam and steam gets into places that water can't. Places you don't want it to be.

If you want extra insurance, cover the alternator and any open-element air filters with a plastic bag.

I just use a wet rag [water] and clean it once a month or so. I had the car for 2 years and it looks like it just came out the factory. I personally think product are a complete waste of money. The only product I'll use is a leather conditioner and that's it.
