Knee pads question

Looking for a little guidance from 6th gen owners...on the 1SS there are no knee pads, however you can option for the sueded knee pads, correct? And does the 2SS come standard with leather knee pads and again can you opt for the sueded ones? Thanks All

You can opt for suede knee pads on both a 1SS and 2SS. Just don't expect them to be really soft. Everyone that has got them agrees they are for show. The 2SS does come with black leather wrapped knee pads, again more for show. I suppose both are better than hard plastic though.
if you order a knee pad kit, they are dealer installed (or you) options. LPO.

How difficult do you believe it would be for an aftermarket company to design knee pads that look exactly like the stock ones, but have a thin gel layer inside them, or foam, so that they are actually soft and squishy?

...SOOO...if any aftermarket company wants to run with my idea, I'm totally cool with that. Just toss me a free pair of black leather ones for giving you this multi-million dollar idea. Thanks.

I just swapped mine for white (car came with black). Its not going to be hard for a upholstery shop to recover and put extra padding in, you just have to be willing to pay

Haha ok, fair enough. But I think we should rock-paper-scissors for the free pair. That only seems like the fair way to decide this.

Best 2 out of 3.

I drive an A8 and see no reason for knee pads. Must be just for M6's.

Is like to see your end result of the knee pads if you have the time to post some pics. Thanks and enjoy.

Sounds like a dealer issue, as I had mine when I picked up the car.
