1st: I hate seeing people being screwed because others are stupid. 2nd: You don't know me and it's a 90% chance I make more quarterly than you do all year. Look up oilfield drilling consultant wages if you wanna play the "poors" argument. 3rd: I have one of the nicest and surely the fastest 5th Gen in Northwest Louisiana...pushing well into 4 digit numbers. |

But to address your "1st": Who is getting screwed here? Im not misrepresenting anything, and prices have risen on these- i even originally acknowledged in the first post that i know it is listed for way more than they were originally sold for. Its not like I am extorting for an essential service or anything - free market, limited resource with demand, prices rise. Buyer wants it at this price, buyer buys it; if they dont want it at this price, they dont. No one getting screwed, they are getting what they paid for and made the conscious decision to buy it at their own will. Also- its been more than one recent sale, there was one on here listed for $800 that sold right away, one on ebay a few weeks back that sold within hours for $650 but was in worse shape than mine, and then mine at $800 shipped. Seems like thats enough of a trend to me to be the new going rate to have had the last 3 of these sold be in this 2-3x original price range Apples to oranges here in terms of the significance of the product, but should I consider myself someone who got screwed because I could have bought for example a beautiful all original low mileage grand national 10 years ago for about $15k, and now that same car goes for around $40k? Market dictated the price, now I am "screwed" .... are you are referring to the people getting screwed as those who want this, but dont want to pay what these are selling at now??? because just like those people, I can still make the conscious decision on my own to go and drop the coin and purchase that same low mileage GN if I wanted it- just like those who bought this Hurst from me and in the past two sales I referenced... i wouldnt consider that screwed Last edited by BronxxBombers213; 10-15-2019 at 01:59 PM. |

One time I sold a good for more than I bought it. But I got a C in macroeconomics, so don’t take my advice.

Not bad for a shifter that looks like it belongs more in a Dodge Challenger than a Camaro (which is the reason that I'd never buy it). Hurst's new shifter design both looks better & costs about $130 less.

Unlike the Hurst models, this shifter is an actual performance shifter & retails for $400. |
