Could someone direct me to a good source of info regarding bringing electronics (camera, laptop and such) across the border? It looks like a form needs to be filled out, but I'm not real sure.

thanks!

No form necessary. I bring my camera and stuff across the border all the time.

For the most part the Canadian border guards don't care about anything. A quick google search (which led to a pretty un-official website) gave the following:

Q. What is prohibited to bring into Canada?
A. List as follows,
*Radar Detector.
*Live minnows, leeches, or worms (night crawlers) unless not packed in dirt.
*Dog Food.
*Potatoes.
*Fire Wood.
*Military style attack rifles.
*Large Capacity Cartridge Magazines (Exceeding 5 rounds for centre fire rifles)

I assume the real list is a bit more comprehensive than that. But regular, harmless consumer products should never be a problem.

Made my reservation this morning. If we have anybody else from Ottawa going down maybe we could meet Friday morning and meet up with the Montreal gang somewhere on the 401. What do you think RickRay? I see you are going down Thursday Hylton.

Duane, I'd just meet them whever they are meeting Hiney and Luckynuts. Just make one stop or else you guys will take forever to get to Oshawa (caravan experience talking).

Yes I am getting to the hotel late on Thursday night.

Thank you gentlemen. I am relieved. But I guess I'll just have to leave my anti-slow driver bazooka at home :upset:

Bring your dollar bills - the strippers up here don't like it when we throw our loonies (dollar coins) at them!

Hi Hylton, can you tell us what time we should get to the Hotel / or the time we will depart to the Plant.. Like you said if we have to stop to many times the trip will be longer.

Get to the hotel for noon. We will be going by the plant but we will not be entering it. Just want to make that clear.

Like Hylton said we should try to meet in Kingston or the closest pit stop on the 401 for those who are leaving from Ottawa area . More info to come later.
