I really wanted to remove mine as well, however there are a ton of Camaros in DFW area. I decided to leave mine on because I rarely see 1LE's out there so it makes my car different. I know we have 1LE's running around dfw per our 1LE spot page, but I will see 5-10 Camaros when I drive anywhere, but rarely do I see one with a black hood.
Ain't that the truth, my brother. I've only seen 1 2013 1LE other than mine in DFW.

I love mine just the way it came. I also agree that the black hood is part of what makes the 1LE a 1LE. Very distinguishable.

Now it's up to you if that's important enough. I do race mine and believe it does cuts down on sun glare as my previous car would shine unwanted sunlight into my face on some rare occasions.

The hood wrap & the wheels are what make this car stand out visually from the rest.

Loose the wrap. Pain to take care of and the 1LEs look so much better without it.

The hood is so high on the car I can't even tell what color it is, nevermind cut down on glare. Haha!

Do whatever turns you on. Which way are you leaning? I like the wrap and it will stay until wasted then I will probably paint it black.

I don't understand the folk who claim the wrap is harder to maintain than painted surface.

I'm experiencing the opposite, plus I find wrap a million times more resistant to stone chips.

The irony of wrap is that at the end of the day, it protects the paint.

That all said, the wrap does seem to work way better on certain colours than others.

On my none-RS, with flat black shark fin, flat black window trim, my custom flat black rear Anvil, with custom flat black taillight trim, flat black front wheel air deflectors, and of course the 1LE hood wrap wit da ZL1 mags,

Sledge looks da shit.

The only thing I've considered changing on my hood is the mohawk. I think a painted RRM mohawk against the black vinly would look pretty good. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
