West Coast Camaro's Wheel Exchange!

Has anyone used West Coast Camaro's wheel exchange deal?
I did and got ripped off! :(
I'm wondering how many people they have pulled this scam on.
I sent them my 20" wheels in exchange and heard nothing from them after they received them. So I called them to confirm they made it. They told me yes they did but two of the wheels had a problem. One was bent and could be repaired and the other had a flat spot and wasn't repairable.
I said "Were they damaged during the shipping?", they told me "No, the boxes were in perfect condition when they arrived". So how could they be bent? I never so much as hit a hard bump in the 6000 miles I put on them while they were on my car. They said they must have been that way originally from the dealer then. Okay, I may not be a wheel expert but I figure I would have noticed if the wheels had a problem while I was driving around on them.
Sounds to me like they are scamming people to get more money.

Has anyone else done the wheel exchange with these guys? How did everything go with your experience?

I used them a couple of years ago to swap my Avalanche wheels, had my tire shop inspect and pack the ones I sent back. A few days later they hit my credit card with an extra $98 bucks for a scratched wheel. I called, argued, told them to send me pictures. They couldn't do that because the wheels were already in the process of being stripped and prepped for chroming. Yea, I think they have a racket going...........my wheels going back were perfect!

Oh believe me I had a very long talk with them about how there was no way the wheels could have been bad when they received them. The problem is I had already put the new wheels on my car and traveling to California isn't an option. Proving they didn't swap my good wheels with some bad ones they had on hand would be impossible too. All I know was I made sure they were perfect when they were shipped.
They just kept saying I may not have known the wheels had a problem. Sounds like a bunch of crap to me!
As for hearing good stuff from them, of course you would, they will always talk good about themselves. They seem to be some pretty shady members of our group.
By the way, they kept $600 of my deposit because of this.

easiest thing to do is have them send the wheels back.. i used to leave my signature in sharpie on each wheel on the inside so if they did inspections and said there was a problem. I had them ship me my wheels back.. if there was no signature.. they were trading out someone elses wheels for mine.. When they would not send the wheels back immediately the wheel exchange got sued by my BMW dealership twice. after they received the letters from the attorneys.. we had chrome wheels "unbent" and "unscratched" free of charge.. :-/ punks! never trust a website that is a chrome shop in business for camaros only.. or a performance parts place for that matter.. the would only do verrrry little business and not enough to call themselves a performance shop... i'd be skeptical..

file a dispute on your credit card.. we will all back you and call it fraud.

its easy just tell your CC company you paid for services not rendered.. easy as that.

Hmmm...
That's a very good point! I hadn't thought of that option.
Awesome idea!

I wish I had thought of the sharpie idea before I sent them. I'll remember that for the future though.
It's their word against mine, so neither of us could really prove the other is right. I know on my end I did everything that I was supposed to.
