Can I do 255/45-20 9.0wheel?

I've looked at the recommended tire sizes but don't see what i'm planning on doing. It appears that I can only get the wheel I want in a 9.0. Can i put 255s on this or is the wheel to wide? i want to put 255/45-20s all the way around on my wife"s car and thought this would be a good look for her.

You could get away with it and some that like that look have done it. Maybe someone will post up some pics.

tire sizes

would it be recommended to put 305 30 20 and 255 35 20 tires on my ss with 10.5 rear wheels, and 9" front? will this work or will there be problems?

If i want to change my stock SS wheels with The ZL1 wheels:

- forged aluminum black painted 10-spoke 20-inch wheels (20"x10" front, 20"x11" rear)
- forged aluminum bright 5-spoke 20-inch wheels (20"x 10" front, 20"x 11" rear)
- Tires:10 Goodyear Eagle f1 Supercar Gen 2 (285/35ZR20 front, 305/35ZR20 rear)

The rear is ok, but the front ?

Im planning on getting new rims in the next few weeks but I want to keep stock tires on my 2011 2lt vert so would I have to get staggered rims or could I go with regular rims? Also, does anyone know what the dimensions are on my stock 20's? I think the front is 20x8.5 right? Are the rears 20x9.5 or 20x10?

Thanks

Hello, I got a question, Ive just recently bought a 2012 Camaro 1LS and I want to change the heritage wheels; I've been reading this article but I got some question like... it seems for the SS and ZL1 theres different size for the front and rear wheels, what about the 1LS?, are front and rear wheels same size? I want to change to 20" wheels, which one of the official measurements should I buy? Thanks.

A factory LS is fitted with 7in rim but most aftermarket rims start at 8in. Will my factory installed BF Goodrich tires fit an 8in rim?

tested and approved tire and rim specifications
Hello, I´m from Germany an must say, this forum is very good
Also good are the informations that i have for everybody who is interrested in tires and rims (for Camaro-Use).
The informations are from the "European Tire And Rim Technical Organisation" (called ETRTO).
I just listed tire-sizes that may be interesting for Camaros.
From the base of stock tires (245/45R20 and 275/40R20) that have a rolling-circumference of 222 cm, I listed tires that are max. +/- 2% difference to stock tires. Note, that this is a total of 4% in difference and that you should just use combinations (front to back-tires) that have max. 2 % difference in rolling-circumference because of the Brake-System (ABS). The datas include the (in Europe) allowed rim-wides for each tire-size. If you want to use smaller or larger rim-wides, this is just allowed with permission of the tire-company, and just for 1/2 inch wider or smaller. Smaller rims are just useful for Off-Roading, because the driving-stability is bad. Wider rims give maximum driving-stability, but worst protection for expensive rims (through the tire) in case of side-impact with curb-stone. Enough blabla, just the translation of the headlines and what they mean:

The fat and yellow line is the measure rim
Größe = tiresize
freigegebene Felgen = allowed rims for this size of tire
max. Reifenbreite = maximum wide of the tire on this rim
max. Durchmesser = maximum Diameter of tire (by driving, not static!)
Abrollumfang = rolling-circumference

Thats it, sorry for bad english and hopefully the Attached files will work.
Regards from Germany, Hans
