To drive or not to drive?

Two questions for the group:

#1 -Who do you graciously allow or even take a chance on letting them drive your Camaro?

#2 - Who absolutely does not get to drive your Camaro even though they may be close to you or otherwise potentially have some reason to drive the car?

For me:

#1 - I've let my 15-year old son drive my SS. In fact it was the first car he drove upon receiving his Learner's Permit. (I have though pushed quite a divot into the passenger side floorboard in trying to find a brake pedal on that side.)

#2 - Nobody outside of my wife and my son drive my SS; not even mechanics and service managers. If a test drive is needed, I drive and they ride.

I only let my parents drive my car! No brothers, friends, valet parking guy, or anyone else is allowed to drive! When I go to get an oilchange (since I'm not allowed to change it at my apartment) I'll let the service guy drive it to the back, but my blood pressure probably jumps up by 20 mmHg!!!

The only other person who has driven my car is the guy who is building it.

Since I got my new wheels, I'm afraid to let my husband drive it. He tends to hug the curbs too much.

The only people who drive it now are the guys at the motor sports shop who are tuning it.

I let my husband drive it on occasion, and no one else. I worry when he's gone and he knows it so he rarely asks. He flat asked me one day as he was driving and I was riding (looking for that same brake pedal that FastintheDesert was looking for) "Do I make you nervous or something?" I said "Yes, your driving DOES make me nervous because you spend TOO much time gazing off into the distance along the roadside looking for deer, tree's that need cut down, what kind of dead cars are hidden in trees, and so forth while you should be watching the road!!!" He had the audacity to look hurt, and I told him "YOU ASKED... was I supposed to lie?

Who does not get to drive my car? In particular, Jan, the neighbor. She asked if she could just back it out of my carport and pull it back in... just to see how it "feels". HUGE NO. Reminded her that I loaned her my pickup a couple of years back, when she was moving from the house across the road to the house next door. She backed out of my carport and turned the wheel too soon and bashed in my front fender.
Did she REALLY think I'd let her try that again in my new car?

Only my brother and brother-in-law have driven my SS. No one else gets a chance.

Not prepared to let anyone drive mine except for when it is in for service. On the other side, I am not one to ask to drive others vehicles.

So far no one other than me. I'm sure at some point the wife will drive it but it's a weekend car so it only has about 150 miles on it right now

Anyone I trust.

Why?

Because I like to drive cars...and have a 'pay if forward' mentality...hopefully others will trust me to drive their 'cool' cars....
