I was offered a COPO from GM, need to sell my 69 camaro
I may need to sell my 1969 Hugger orange SS.
It is a true survivor car. Original 350 engine. Original automatic trans mission. 90% of the paint is original. It has never been hot rodded or modded. Original carb, and exhaust manifolds. Totally original rust free body. NO Bondo anywhere. I have the protecto plate and build sheet. I also have the original owners order form where he picked the options. Very low mileage. You will not find a more original 1969 Camaro around. The ONLY reason I am even considering selling this car is because I was given notice from General Motors that I have been chosen to have the chance to buy a 2014 COPO Camaro. Otherwise this car would never leave me. I will get more pictures later.

Personally I would not sell the 69' to help finance the COPO. They are awesome cars but If it were me..No way am I selling that 69. Good luck either way you go.

Not sure I would sell the '69 either, but that's me. I would probably never use the COPO so I would get a lot more pleasure out of the '69. Plus with it being all original and in my favorite color... would be hard to part with for another car I'd never use.

There is no way I would do it.. A production car in the 20XX is no comparison to tis muscle car.. Wish I still had my 69...
Anyone know a DMV officer that purchase a garnet red 69 Camaro from Virginia over 13 years ago... Shipped in a enclosed trailer to San Diego, Ca? Last edited by dgriddick; 02-23-2014 at 09:27 AM. |

you most likely have been selected by carnival cruises also to go on their just say no to sea sickness cruise with a band called norvo virus, and their back up legionaires disease for free just call this toll free number 1-879-123-4567...... Great preselected to spend over a hundred grand on a race only drag car that cannot be made street legal, and so what...you could resale it at a loss to who? yes some drag dude, and BTW the copos are on sale on autotrader if you ever look there is usually one or two there.............. Save the 69!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like you have the 69 registered to drive on the street from the front plate. You do realize the COPO you may get to purchase is not street legal. The new COPO's are for racing on the track. I do not know how much you drive the 69.

I'm in agreement with eveyone, keep the 69 and sell the certificate for the COPO. You can go out and enjoy the 69 while the COPO can only be used at the dragstrip.

If I had the $$$ I'd buy your 69 in a heartbeat... I just don't think that's a good trade. The COPO would just be a track toy and for me, it wouldn't be worth losing that 69. To each his own though.

Thanks for the input guys, I'm truly torn on what to do.
An opportunity for a COPO is very tempting. They gave me 48 hours to make a decision. The COPO might make a good investment or not?
