Question about Nos
I am waiting for a Super charger to come out for the v6... dont think its going to happen anytime soon.
But in the mean time I want to add nos to my car, I am sure that most of you noticed that the car really does not come alive until after the 4k rpm marker. I really dont know much about nos other then having installed them via directions and ect on other people cars. I am wanting a good kit from what I have read so far probably like a 50 shot, but Im not for sure. But I am wanting help with off the line power and to make the car better on that lower end. Can someone point me in the right direction, give pointers and do's and dont's of nos. Thanks |

Be careful calling it Nos, as some Nitrous circles will not take you seriously.

For a simple, cheap kit run a single fogger nozzle about 3 inches infront of the throttle blade. T into the fuel rail at the schrader valve for your fuel supply. Run a 24 jet spread with 50 psi of fuel pressure. Example= 50 nitrous, 26 fuel jets will net you 100 hp Your engine will handle a 100 shot with no problem. If you want to run a 50 just do a dry shot. |

Also think trying to run a dry shot on this motor would be a mistake... This motor likes to run rich... not sure how it would like a dry shot.....

well Im not looking for anything crazy I just want that power for off the line and low end help, I keep getting my butt spanked off the line but get them in the top side. So should I run a 100 or so something smaller. I am also going to be adding long tube headers and a custom exhaust, and cold air intake.

The car actually looks happier running NOS than not running it. Lol. From the logs, I’d consider the tune optimized at this point. Fuel and timing look great. If you need any other changes, just let me know. Thanks! Good luck at the track today! - Vince Geglia Trifecta Performance, Inc. If you aren't going to get a tune then I would only run a 55 shot as per manufacturer recommendation. You would have to figure out what the correct jets need to be however since no one has dynoed or logged a 55 shot yet. Not only that, I doubt you can do a 55 shot on this car. Seems that a 55 shot would require a 32 nitrous jet and a 14 fuel jet. The smallest jet they make is 17 that I know of which would prolly work with a 36 nitrous jet and give you about a 65 shot which I would prolly run without a tune but I would dyno tune it first to make sure the air/fuel mixture was correct before actually running it on the strip.
