As many others have said, fire sales on the 2010 and the new 5.0 pushed it up.
Probably will be like this for at least a couple of months. This is good, it'll force GM to do something about it. |

There have been enticing deals for 2010 Mustangs in my area. 15K for a v6 and 20K for GT. I'm pretty sure it was only one of each but am not certain on the features.

I'm not concerned with the health of the Camaro, it has no bearing on my life other than resale value: which will be crap if the market is flooded. I also know a $30k is never going to be exclusive I just don't wnat to see one every 30 seconds like I do the Mustang. I guess my 350Z was impractical enough to keep the numbers reasonable where I live.

I too would expect to see this for only a couple of months. There's barely a drop off in the Camaro sales between last month and this month so it's not like the Mustang is gaining a bunch of market share. Still it only beat the Camaro by 1300 units or 14.5%. It would have to sustain at least that lead for 4 months to match the YTD sales.

It's only a matter of time until the doom cryers over @ GMIN forum start saying things like "we need a new camaro now!"

GM needs to sell as many Camaros as they can. More Camaro sales = More profit/ROI = More incentive to build a Z28 and the 6th gen.

Not surprised it had to happen sooner or later. To be honest they can keep that title. I dont want to see a millions of these cars on the car to the point its like the mustang where its a pair of jeans. Everyone has one. That has to be the best sales run chev has had vs the mustang with its camaro but i could be wrong. Im still miffed about the challenger. One of the best cars dodge has come out with forever and they dont market it,they way overprice it aka SRT8 end result low sales. The mustang good looking ride minus the new rear end but unless its a GT500 driving by me i dont notice them any more. Just too many of them around. I will give credit where credit is due though. If it wasnt for the popular 2005-2009 mustang the 2010 camaro would not have happen imo.

Anyone ever consider, A bunch of Camaro buyers waited until the 2011 got released, it's not like Chevy is offering any real deals on the 2010 Camaro even now

Knew this would happen, new motor for the Mustang, and many fanatics have been waiting, I wonder how long it will be 'til we are back on top!
