IT'S ALIVE!
2013 Ashen Gray M6 ZL1 is in the garage! VIN #2362. I have to admit I didn't get much sleep the last few days. The anticipation wore me down, but the ride home was incredible! I know I could only go easy, darn that break-in period, but wow could I feel the difference in the power compared to the SS. Those tires chirp quite a bit when cold, but by the time I reached my first exit off the highway, well I just had to feel her in the turn. She did not disappoint. Yes, I was at a low rpm, but my speed was good, really good. It felt great and my heart rate was over the 4,000 break-in recommended rpm max. Unfortunately, with all the lack of sleep I've had, now I'm all jacked up bouncing off the walls. I've gone down to the garage (been parked 8 hours or so) heck, I've lost count how many times. I've got it, THIS MUST BE LOVE, alright so I'm a little obsessed!

My first two pictures. Wow, what a feeling it is to be behind the wheel, the acceleration, the grip of those massive tires, and my favorite part of all, the SOUND!
Her official name, yes I'm one of those, I named my ZL1, and I think I named her quite appropriately: THE DEVIL'S NIGHTMARE Start de-badging/replacing tomorrow. The window tint and clear bra Friday. Along with a few coats of sealer and at least three or four coats of wax. Like a sheet of glass is my goal! |

AGM is perhaps the best color for the ZL1. It works so well with the CF insert, black trim and wheels. It's too bad there's not much choice at all with this car when you hit the stealership. You either buy what they have or special order.
I love the way the rotors just pop behind the black wheels.......... |
